Steve Ireland is an award-winning
broadcaster who started his career in BBC local radio before moving into
television. From reporting he switched to production, producing 'North West
Tonight' before becoming Head of News for BBC N/W and then Head of Regional
Programmes, responsible for all local radio and regional television. Lured to
ITV he was Director of Programmes at Tyne-Tees Television then the first
Director of Programmes at UK Gold before joining the U.S. giant, Viacom as
Senior Vice-President of Programmes for the Showtime Network, beaming more than
30 channels into the Middle East. Football remains his passion and for two
decades whilst at the BBC he was a regular match-day reporter to the flagship
programme 'Sports Report'.
Rob Hallam is a TV producer / director /
presenter who cut his 'media teeth' at ITV. Rob quickly progressed up the
production ladder and as well as working behind the camera, he became a regular
face on motoring programmes for ITV. Rob spent several years working for several
independent production companies in Manchester before setting up his own company
'Bigtank' which he still
runs. He’s a regular performer in the hit BBC kids show 'Prank Patrol' and is
also an established stand up comedian. Rob was a finalist in the BBC1 New
Comedian of the year.
Geoff Kirkman has a wealth of experience as
a project manager, specialising in Community Development, helping to develop
Partnership Working, Community Engagement & Cohesion and Community Safety
solutions. He has worked closely with Government Ministers, notably in the Home
Office, the DCLG and the Ministry of Justice to ensure that community-based
opportunities and solutions are effective. A fully-qualified Business Mentor,
Geoff has been instrumental in helping people set up their own businesses. He is
also a broadcaster on Trading Standards and Customer Service issues. Geoff is a
Chartered MCIPD.
